Surprisingly, unusual trading volumes were observed in several altcoins on Upbit, South Korea’s largest and the world’s second largest cryptocurrency exchange. The altcoins in question include Aptos (APT), Ontology (ONT), IOST (IOST), Blur (BLUR) and Dogecoin (DOGE).
The 1-hour chart for Aptos (APT) showed a significant increase in trading volume. On Upbit, the average 50 1-hour volume was $112k, but the last recorded volume was a staggering $320k, marking a percentage change of 184.62%. On Binance, the 1-hour average 50 volume was $295 thousand, while the last recorded volume was $437 thousand, showing a percentage change of 48.25%.
Ontology (ONT) also experienced an unusual fluctuation on its 4-hour chart. On Upbit, the 4-hour average 50 volume was $4 million while the last recorded volume was $11 million, with a percentage change of 219.85%. On Binance, the average and last recorded 4-hour volumes were both $3 million, showing a percentage change of 16.44%.
IOST (IOST) and Blur (BLUR) are not far behind. On the 1-hour chart, IOST (IOST) saw its average 50 1-hour volume on Upbit increase from $11 million to $34 million, representing a change of 208.02 percent. However, on Binance, volume dropped from $14 million to $11 million, showing a change of -20.37 percent.
Blur’s (BLUR) 1-hour average 50 volume on Upbit increased from $12 million to $43 million, showing a change of 247.23 percent. On Binance, the volume increased from $6 million to $8 million and the percentage change was 30.83%.
Finally, Dogecoin (DOGE) made a comeback on its 4-hour chart. On Upbit, the average 50 4-hour volume was $90 million, while the last recorded volume was $191 million, a change of 111.59%. On Binance, the average and last recorded 4-hour volumes were both around $217 million, showing a slight decrease with a percentage change of -0.53%.
