Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the lost 0.24%, while the index lost 0.34%, and the index declined 0.11%.

The best performers of the session on the were Continental AG O.N. (ETR:), which rose 0.60% or 0.46 points to trade at 76.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Airbus Group SE (ETR:) added 0.30% or 0.42 points to end at 139.80 and Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:) was up 0.30% or 0.40 points to 135.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:), which fell 0.97% or 0.12 points to trade at 11.80 at the close. Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:) declined 0.88% or 0.41 points to end at 46.41 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 0.86% or 0.32 points to 37.67.

The top performers on the MDAX were Vitesco Technologies Group AG (ETR:) which rose 4.35% to 78.00, United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was up 1.05% to settle at 23.06 and Sixt SE (ETR:) which gained 0.70% to close at 100.10.

The worst performers were Aurubis AG (ETR:) which was down 2.88% to 74.84 in late trade, HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which lost 1.86% to settle at 14.27 and Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which was down 1.71% to 132.05 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 2.88% to 34.69, Energiekontor AG (ETR:) which was up 2.37% to settle at 82.10 and Nagarro SE (ETR:) which gained 1.20% to close at 88.80.

The worst performers were Bechtle AG (ETR:) which was down 1.09% to 45.44 in late trade, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which lost 1.07% to settle at 23.96 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 1.01% to 58.80 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 353 to 288 and 40 ended unchanged.

Shares in United Internet AG NA (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.05% or 0.24 to 23.06.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.15% to 13.48.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.39% or 8.25 to $2,084.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.34% or 0.99 to hit $73.12 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.46% or 1.16 to trade at $78.38 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 100.82.
