Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 0.11%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 0.11%, while the index added 0.80%, and the index climbed 1.03%.

The best performers of the session on the were Deutsche Boerse AG (ETR:), which rose 3.52% or 5.60 points to trade at 164.85 at the close. Meanwhile, SAP SE (ETR:) added 2.36% or 3.04 points to end at 131.76 and Vonovia SE (ETR:) was up 2.29% or 0.53 points to 23.71 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:), which fell 4.62% or 1.37 points to trade at 28.28 at the close. Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (ETR:) declined 1.64% or 1.52 points to end at 91.31 and Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:) was down 1.23% or 0.55 points to 44.16.

The top performers on the MDAX were Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:) which rose 37.86% to 2.35, United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was up 4.39% to settle at 20.94 and Scout24 AG (ETR:) which gained 4.14% to close at 61.42.

The worst performers were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 3.88% to 52.05 in late trade, Befesa SA (ETR:) which lost 2.21% to settle at 26.50 and Fraport AG (ETR:) which was down 2.13% to 48.61 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:) which rose 37.86% to 2.35, United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was up 4.39% to settle at 20.94 and SAP SE (ETR:) which gained 2.36% to close at 131.76.

The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which was down 24.49% to 5.08 in late trade, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which lost 3.88% to settle at 52.05 and Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which was down 3.78% to 30.31 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 327 to 297 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in SAP SE (ETR:) rose to 3-years highs; rising 2.36% or 3.04 to 131.76. Shares in SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.88% or 2.10 to 52.05. Shares in ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) fell to all time lows; losing 24.49% or 1.65 to 5.08. Shares in SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.88% or 2.10 to 52.05. Shares in SAP SE (ETR:) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 2.36% or 3.04 to 131.76.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.53% to 15.81 a new 1-month low.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.92% or 18.35 to $1,970.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 3.64% or 2.94 to hit $77.88 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 3.57% or 3.04 to trade at $82.14 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.32% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 105.50.
