Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the declined 0.48%, while the index added 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the were Teleperformance SE (EPA:), which rose 0.75% or 1.00 points to trade at 134.10 at the close. Meanwhile, L’Oreal SA (EPA:) added 0.58% or 2.60 points to end at 451.30 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) was up 0.41% or 0.24 points to 59.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TotalEnergies SE (EPA:), which fell 1.70% or 1.06 points to trade at 61.41 at the close. Engie SA (EPA:) declined 1.30% or 0.21 points to end at 15.96 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:) was down 1.16% or 0.52 points to 44.26.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Euroapi SAS (EPA:) which rose 2.68% to 5.74, Vusiongroup SA (EPA:) which was up 2.22% to settle at 138.00 and Beneteau SA (EPA:) which gained 1.80% to close at 12.42.
The worst performers were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:) which was down 2.82% to 4.20 in late trade, Verallia (EPA:) which lost 2.56% to settle at 35.00 and BIC (EPA:) which was down 1.80% to 62.85 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 279 to 262 and 76 ended unchanged.
Shares in L’Oreal SA (EPA:) rose to all time highs; rising 0.58% or 2.60 to 451.30.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.38% or 8.00 to $2,085.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.35% or 1.00 to hit $73.11 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.48% or 1.18 to trade at $78.36 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 100.81.
