Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil&Gas, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.36% to hit a new 3-months high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 4.96% or 0.19 points to trade at 3.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 4.75% or 0.99 points to end at 21.84 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 3.92% or 0.76 points to 20.03 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which fell 2.66% or 0.25 points to trade at 9.16 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) declined 1.58% or 0.14 points to end at 8.48 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was down 1.11% or 0.16 points to 14.28.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 93 to 75 and 19 ended unchanged.

Shares in Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.96% or 0.19 to 3.98. Shares in Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) rose to 5-year highs; up 3.92% or 0.76 to 20.03.

Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.16% or 0.90 to $78.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.61% or 1.20 to hit $75.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.71% or 18.05 to trade at $2,555.85 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 101.24.
