Cat in a dogs world, the cat-themed meme coin on Solana, rose sharply to hit a new all-time high on Oct. 24.

With meme coins surging over the past few days, cat in a dogs world (MEW) added to recent gains with a spike to $0.01136, marking its all-time high. The token recorded a 24-hour volume of over $474 million, representing a 177% increase as of the time of writing.

MEW’s price, meanwhile, traded around $0.01114, with buyers up 26% in the past 24 hours, pushing the meme coin’s market cap to over $990 million. According to crypto.news market data, cat in a dogs world ranked as the 83rd largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

In the meme coin segment, MEW ranked 10th overall and ahead of Mog Coin (MOG) and the day’s other top performing meme coin Goatseus Maximus (GOAT).

Bitstamp lists MEW token

On Oct. 24, crypto exchange Bitstamp announced it had added trading support for MEW as well as the WOO Network (WOO) token. Bitstamp added MEW/USD and MEW/EUR pairs for its users globally.

Meanwhile, Solana (SOL) based decentralized on-chain perpetual swap platform Drift Protocol also added support for MEW perpetual futures. The contract allows traders a leverage of up to 4x. This follows the launch of MEW perps on Kwenta and Synthetix on the layer-2 chain Base that went live on Oct. 22.

The combination of the surging meme coins and the series of listings are what catalyzed the cat-themed token’s spike to a new ATH.

According to data from Coinglass, the futures open interest for cat in a dogs world has jumped 59% to over $211 million. The bullish outlook for the meme coin has also seen MEW liquidations hit over $2.47 million in the past 24 hours – most of these in short liquidations at $1.79 million.
