Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse shared his views on the possibility of creating new exchange-traded funds (ETFs) based on other cryptocurrencies during an interview on CNBC.

When asked about the likelihood of new ETFs based on other cryptocurrencies emerging — in the same way that several Bitcoin ETFs have recently been approved — Garlinghouse expressed confidence:

“I think it’s a certainty. I’m not going to put a horizon on the time, but I think there will be other ETFs for sure.”

However, when asked directly about the prospects of creating an XRP ETF, Garlinghouse did not provide a clear answer. The Ripple CEO’s cautious approach to talking about ETFs has drawn mixed reactions from the crypto community. Many drew parallels between Garlinghouse’s response and BlackRock CEO Larry Fink’s earlier statement on the same topic.

The BlackRock CEO also refused to give a definitive answer when asked about the likelihood of launching a spot ETF for XRP. At the time, Fink’s comment received a positive response in the XRP community, with participants interpreting his neutral stance as a potential signal of opportunity.
